Hearst Castle

Just as thousands of visitors before him and millions since, William Randolph Hearst found the Central Coast to be the ultimate escape from life in the big city. There are several tours which highlight various parts of the castle and gardens.

Elephant Seal sanctuary

The Piedras Blancas elephant seal rookery is located north of Cayucos, along scenic Highway One. Seals come ashore twice a year, once to take part in the breeding season and again to molt. December through March is their Breeding season and April through August is their molting time.

Wine country

the central coast wine region is the Largest and most diverse in California. to the north, the wineries of paso robles are known for their varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. the southern edna Valley is most famous for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir production.

Montana de Oro

Montana De Oro state park is located in Los Osos (a 15 minute drive from Cayucos). The drive through the park alone is worth the trip and There are numerous hiking trails and lots of beach access. horseback riding tours can be arranged, either following the trails or along the beach.
